Chris White: “I couldn’t be more excited to start the season. I’m living my lifelong dream of competing in a racing championship. A massive thank you to my wife and all the people who have helped me get to this position. I can’t wait to get started.”
“The team know the Ginetta cars better than anyone. They have a leading set-up with the best mechanics, driver coaches, and team management. I want to learn as much as possible from them, have a great time racing, and push for a couple of podium finishes.”
One of the most decorated teams in entry-level one-make Ginetta competition, W2R Motorsport have topped the Ginetta Racing Drivers Club standings twice in the last three years with Phil Ingram in 2016 and then James Crawshaw last year.
Ben Hyland – W2R Motorsport: “We met Chris last year and saw him make strong progress in the GRDC car early on, so after an invite to our winter test in Spain, he was fully up to speed and committed to start his racing adventure with W2R and Ginetta. We look forward to working with Chris, who already has settled in as a great member of the team and family.”
The 2019 Ginetta Racing Drivers Club season opener takes place at Snetterton in Norfolk on the support bill for the British GT Championship. The Ginetta G40 Cup will also be in action, with W2R Motorsport running Rob Keogh, Jimmy Thomson and Roy Alderslade.
W2R Motorsport still have opportunities available to race with the team in both the Ginetta Racing Drivers Club and the Ginetta G40 Cup this season along with Arrive&Drive in their G55 Supercup car in various series.
