Round 2 of the ProTyre Ginetta GT5 Challenge at Rockingham Speedway saw both want2race GT5 drivers achieve multiple podium results, with a total haul of Six trophies for the pairing of Adrian Campbell-Smith and want2race co-owner Mike Jarvis.
Campbell-Smith now leads the AM category of this fiercely contested GT5 Championship, after taking three fabulous and deserved race wins on Sunday and a second place in the dramatic weekend opener on Saturday. With race pace good enough to hold onto the top six overall, and fastest laps in class to boot - Adrian moves on to Thruxton with pace and confidence with the team looking to bridge the gap further between himself and closest rival Evans.
Mike Jarvis made his GT5 debut at Rockingham last weekend after having to miss the opening round at Oulton Park, and was looking good for a podium on his return to racing were it not for a ridiculous move from Greenwood putting them both out of the race and resulting in Greenwood picking up penalty points.
Jarvis picked himself up in both Race 2 and 3, with two well earnt and driven third place trophies after making fantastic starts in both. Mike returns to his local circuit Thruxton on May 6th and 7th for the team’s BTCC weekend debut.
