Welcome to want2race with Ginetta cars, the UK’s biggest novice racing driver competition and experience. Open to all aspiring racing car drivers over the age of 18, want2race competitors take part in three exciting stages of driving. want2race qualification offers a combination of go-karts or Ginetta race cars initially, you then progress further in the want2race fleet of G40 race cars out on circuit, learning to drive the cars to the limit and aiming for the final stage of this epic driving competition and experience.
want2race offers an unrivalled experience with even more track time and instruction out on circuit in race cars than ever before. Now in our fifth year, we welcome all want2race drivers and can guarantee you'll feel part of something special. Year on year we are proud to see such talented novice drivers get involved with the whole want2race exeprience & community.
Once again this year we'll work alongside some of the UK's finest racing driver and instructing talent, on hand and there to support you each step of the way.

Stage 1: Qualify in Go-Karts or Cars
Location: Various UK partner outdoor karting circuits
What’s included: You'll receive a want2race visor and car sticker at sign on, before taking part in an awesome go-karting race experience at one of the UK's premier outdoor karting venues. These sessions are ideal for go-karting novice to MSA kart racing guru, as we class and assess each driver by their experience, weight, age, track conditions with a new female classification.
How does it work: Register online, choose your want2race go-karting venue and then automatically receive your want2race welcome pack, unique driver number, entry certificate and entry form. You'll also be entered to our British GT Ticket Prize Draw where you can join come and watch Team want2race in action along with a friend. Fill out your entry form online, including as much detail about you, your previous experience on track days or karting if any, which category you are in and upload a profile photograph. Then call your partner circuit to book the next available want2race session. Print off the karting verification form with you and after your session the track will verify and sign this. Return the form online and wait to be allocated for Stage 2 - Race Car Training Camp.
When: Entries are open now! Partner go-kart circuits are ready for your call once you have entered and have your unique want2race driver number. Entries close on 31st August 2018.
How Much: Stage 1 Go-Kart Qualification costs just £75.00
Location: Various UK race circuits
What’s included: Three on track sessions sat alongside a pro instructor pushing you to your limits. Stage 1 competition DriveDays events are ideal for anyone from the track day novice to the track day king, and we class and assess each driver by their experience, age, track conditions with a new female classification.
How does it work: Register online, choose your preferred DriveDays venue and date and automatically receive your want2race welcome pack, unique driver number, entry certificate and entry form. You’ll also be entered to our British GT Ticket Prize Draw where you can join come and watch Team want2race in action along with a friend. Fill out your entry form online, including as much detail about you, your previous experience on track days or karting if any, which category you are in and upload a profile photograph. Print off the car verification form with you and after your session the DriveDays instructor will verify this. Then wait to be allocated for Stage 2 - Race Car Training Camp.
When: Entries are open now with DriveDays events being added to the event diary all the time. Please be aware availability is extremely limited compared with the Go-Karting qualification. Entries close on 31st August 2018.

Stage 2: Race Car Training Camp
Location: Blyton Park Driving Centre
What’s included: Now is the time to get behind the wheel of the want2race Ginetta race cars. You’ll be strapped into full race spec, race winning cars and pushed to your limits on one of the best driver development circuits in the UK. Stage 2 drivers will get an in depth briefing and driver development video, followed by two separate sessions driving out on track with training and development from the want2race instructors.
How does it work: After completing your Stage 1 Qualification session you will be allocated your Stage 2 Race Car Training Camp date to attend, bringing with you all the required paperwork. Sessions are instructed and assessed, but not timed as we are not looking for the outright fastest driver. You will be scored considering your level of experience on track, along with how you qualified, in the following areas: natural car control, the racing line, ability to listen and technical criteria. We’re looking for smooth, confident drivers who listen to their instructors to prove they have what it takes to make Stage 3 of the competition.
When: Race Car Training Camps are held each month from May 2018 onwards with drivers allocated their training camp date once their go-karting experience has been completed and verified by the partner circuit. Availability may be limited so we encourage you confirm your session as soon as possible. Stage 2 sessions will cease in September 2018.

Stage 3: Grand Finals & Head2Head
Location: Blyton Park Driving Centre
What’s included: The top drivers from across the UK will be invited to join the want2race team of instructors for the want2race Grand Finals. This is an incredible event which offers more track time, a fun safe experience, racing based activities and of course a chance to get back out on track in real racing cars with some of the UK’s best racing driver talent from BTCC, British GT & professional instructors. This year we are joined by Jake Hill, Max Coates, David Pittard, Tom Oliphant and Declan Jones. ITV4 anchor man and former BTCC driver Paul O’Neil is once again want2race head judge.
How does it work: The grand finals consist of an exclusive want2race Ginetta event held at the fantastic Blyton Park venue across three days. Each qualifying driver will attend either Day 1 or Day 2, driving two race length sessions out on circuit. Also included is a race & technical Maxterclass (run by Clio Cup front running driver Max Coates) plus other driving assessments and activities on the day.
The best drivers from each of the first two days will be invited back to Day 3, the concluding part of the competition. Day 3 of the Grand Final is free for all drivers to attend, offering finalists more track time in the racing cars and off track assessments as we push each driver to their limit.
The pinnacle of the whole want2race experience is then run for the top 10 drivers, the want2race Head2Head Shootout. An epic experience, where two cars and two drivers go head to head out on circuit in the race cars in front of the judges and spectators.
At the end of Day 3, the 2017 want2race champion will be crowned and race in the 2018 Ginetta Racing Drivers Club for Team want2race.
