Address: Old Blyton Airfield, Kirton Road, Blyton, Gainsborough DN21 3PE
Circuit type: Permanent road course

The main Blyton Park circuit is 1.6 miles (approximately 2.57km) long, featuring 9 distinct corners, each – offering a different technical challenge – and the noise level is 100dB drive-by, so please keep in mind that the static amount will be greater. The track was upgraded in 2012, using both new and existing bends to create 9 more alternative circuits, which can be used for a variety of different vehicles and specific sessions and the largest configuration can hold up to 30 cars. However, here at want2race, we always aim to keep the number of cars down to a minimum, maximising the enjoyment for each driver.
A truly action-packed day, W2R Track Days at Blyton Park are among some of the best value for money packages you will find, offering various circuit configurations and a wide range of vehicle options.
The circuit offers an open pit lane track day, with full access to a variety of facilities and a well-run track day overall: minimal stoppages, no queuing and, therefore, maximum time enjoying the circuit.

The Driving Centre itself is one mile from Blyton village itself, on the B1205 (Kirton Road). There is large signposting as you approach the gates of the site: simply go through, follow the path round to the left, past a farm and park by the big green grain store on your right.

Like many modern circuits, Blyton Park was originally an airfield. Opening in 1942 as RAF Blyton, it was home to over 2,355 service personnel during the Second World War and the three main runways now make up the long stretches of the tracks.
As well as runways, the site had several large hangars, storage facilities and RAF barracks designed for those doing operational training: a good example being the Wellington bombers, which famously took off from Silverstone.
The base then went on to house the Wellington and Lancaster bombers based in Gainsborough until the end of the war, it was only until after the war that the runways were coated with tarmac and but runways were still used for take-off and landing practice well into the 50s.
It was only in March 2011, when motorsport enthusiast, Richard Usher bought the site, that Blyton was turned into a fit-for-purpose circuit. He went on to open the track to the public as Blyton Park Driving Centre, updating the facilities and extending the total length of the track a year later.
Today, it plays host to a number of motorsport disciplines and events, including rallycross, the SuperMoto and SuperLites series, and, of course, Ginetta racing. As the brand’s official test track, you can now take part in Ginetta’s Driver Development programme, designed to push you to a competitive level on the track.
Blyton Park makes for one of the most well-rounded track day experiences you can find, offering options from the most novice of drivers to those who really want to push themselves.
As it is such a popular venue, there are only a limited amount of spaces available, so book early if you want to secure your place at this amazing circuit.
